Cutoff times and Thursday games 2016-09-27

This is a very common question:

What happens if my cutoff is set to Sunday at 1pm, but there is a Thursday game or an earlier game than Sunday at the 1pm typical cutoff?

Do all the picks have to be in by the start of that game?

The answer is no. Only the early games will cutoff, the user will still be able to enter the other games.

What about Preseason?
Preseason cutoff times are different because many of the games are on Thursday and Friday.

Open till Gametime
This leaves each game open until it's respective cutoff. That means games will be also hidden on the summary page until their scheduled start time. (If games start late due to rain, or other delays, the original scheduled time will be the one used). IF you use this setting, you really never have a picksheet cutoff. We don't recommend this for simple pools.

Other factors
Some factors that affect the action of your picksheet are important to consider. IF you allow default picks, and a player only fills in the one game, leaving the other ones blank, he may be given his default picks for the games he left blank. He will still be able to change them later, but the system usually will not let them stay blank.

If the games begin, and the player does not have his pick in, and has not played yet for the season, his default pick WILL NOT REGISTER! The player has to show up at least one time to play to be "in the game". The logic on this is that we do not waste system resources on people who join, but never play.

NFL Confidence Pools 2011-08-28
A confidence pool takes your standard pickem, and pushes it to a new level. With confidence style picking, you are given values from 1 to X. X is the number of games in a week. If your pick is correct, you are awarded that many points. It can make for some high point weeks if you can accumulate some wins. This image shows how the picksheet works. First you select your pick, and then click on the confidence box, and select the value you wish to place on that game. If you`re really confident, you place a high value like 16 on that game. more...
Managing Your Pool 2011-08-27
Probably one of the most important functions of your pool is the ability for you to manage it. When you setup a pool with superbrawl, your player id is setup as the manager of the pool in addition to being a player. This gives you the ability to launch your manager console, while you are playing, viewing a trashtalk board, doing your survivor picks, or just showing up to view your pool. To launch the manager console of your pool, login using your player id and password, and you will see this tools icon in the login bar.
