Why dont my players show up? 2010-08-25


This is a question we field at minimum about 50 times per season, even though there are a fair amount of advisory messages in place to explain why. However, in the interest of saving time answering these emails, here's one more post to explain why players who have signed up in your pool may not be showing up in the standings, or counts for your billing.

Are you ready for it?
1. Here's the message that shows on screen when a player joins.


2. Here is the message they get in their email after they have joined.


3. Here is the message the manager received every single time a player joins.


Even if its a new season, if players have not played yet in the new season, but they are still in the database, they need to play before they appear in a standings report.

Our reasoning on this is simple, imagine you have 8 games with us, and you're paying $X.xx per player. Would you as a manager like to be charged 8 x your player cost for each player even if he doesn't play any of the games? Likely not!

So unless a player plays, he won't show up on any stats report, standings report, summary, nothing, not even player counts for your Pickem, Survivor, NASCAR game, nothing. They are simply a registered person in your pool until they actually play something. Then we begin counting them, and doing their stats, and showing them as a PLAYER in PARTICULAR GAMES.

NFL Confidence Pools 2011-08-28
A confidence pool takes your standard pickem, and pushes it to a new level. With confidence style picking, you are given values from 1 to X. X is the number of games in a week. If your pick is correct, you are awarded that many points. It can make for some high point weeks if you can accumulate some wins. This image shows how the picksheet works. First you select your pick, and then click on the confidence box, and select the value you wish to place on that game. If you`re really confident, you place a high value like 16 on that game. more...
Managing Your Pool 2011-08-27
Probably one of the most important functions of your pool is the ability for you to manage it. When you setup a pool with superbrawl, your player id is setup as the manager of the pool in addition to being a player. This gives you the ability to launch your manager console, while you are playing, viewing a trashtalk board, doing your survivor picks, or just showing up to view your pool. To launch the manager console of your pool, login using your player id and password, and you will see this tools icon in the login bar.
